One vehicle you’ve owned in your lifetime, and one of these fine choices from today’s E X O T I C car show. Bonus points for choosing a vehicle that's clearly not the focus of the shot!
I’ll take my Miata (shocker) and I need something more practical, so... Old NSX!

Man, supercar owners have all the luck sometimes.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 14:49 |

I take my current and only car and that S-Class Coupe.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 14:49 |

That would be a really good two car garage. Could the voyager tow the s2000?

Z32 300zx and another Z32 300ZX for when I am doing an engine out maintenance activity on the first one.

My orange 914 and whatever brown wagon i sin the back
![]() 07/14/2018 at 14:57 |

That brown wagon is gorgeous. I'm could of sworn I got a profile shot of it but I guess not. Heavy mettalic flake going on, it works
![]() 07/14/2018 at 14:58 |

Wow. I'm surprised you spotted that
![]() 07/14/2018 at 14:58 |

Id keep the project SC, and then the white e36? In the background.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 15:07 |

I can only use my Legacy for the first one, however:
I’ll take this boat.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 15:10 |

I’d go with my current Volvo, and the original NSX.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 15:14 |

should be able to tow it.. the automatic could for sure as its rated 3500 lbs tow capacity (manual at 2000 lbs for some reason)
(sorry i can only reply to the original post... my kinja is fubar)

Car I’ve owned: ‘92 Thunderbird SC. Big, comfortable, & fast, especially with the 5-speed . Perfect sleeper car.
Car pictured above: Either the baby blue Eldorado convertible or the GTO convertible. When you live in California, you can drop the top pretty much year round.

My current Cayman S, and that M4 please.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 15:18 |

If you didn’t notice it already.. well. I won’t “spoil” it. Zoom in on the BMW badge

I think I’d keep my C5 and go for that S30 Z-car as long as it’s a ‘76 or earlier. I would love to have a fun RWD project again where I don’t have to worry about getting smogged. :)

Gotta love an Eldo 'vert.

E30 and that rwb 911
![]() 07/14/2018 at 15:55 |

I’d take my current F150, and the Dino.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 16:03 |
|
My old 2.5rs w/sti swap. Old nsx
![]() 07/14/2018 at 16:14 |

Upside down Kinja pics making the zoom hard....
But I’ll go with my own 78 280Z, and the g ra y McL aren 720(?)
![]() 07/14/2018 at 16:20 |
|
My 240Z and probably the Pinz I see since I can't have my M37 anymore?!
![]() 07/14/2018 at 16:41 |
|
I’ll go with my current white ‘18 Civic Si and that white AMG GT in front of the M4 with the Itty bitty spoiler. That way they'll match!
![]() 07/14/2018 at 16:44 |
|
My current DD, Acura TSX
And the red Aston convertible behind the RWB Porsche
![]() 07/14/2018 at 17:16 |
|
My longbed, the '94 NSX.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 17:42 |
|
I’ ll go with my 07 STi and the Pinzgauer/Volvo, can’t tell what that is on my phone.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 17:58 |
|
I think it's a pinz. Pretty sweet ride too, one of my favorites at the show, by far
![]() 07/14/2018 at 17:59 |

Rwd project is a good way to go! I love California but it would bother me so much dealing with their car-related legislature
![]() 07/14/2018 at 18:00 |
|
You reminded me I still need gold heat wrap. I'm going to look for that locally...
![]() 07/14/2018 at 18:00 |
|
That was a beaut
![]() 07/14/2018 at 18:01 |
|
The pinz looked like a bundle of fun. Guy turned the sirens on as he was leaving, it's a fully kitted out search and rescue rig based locally
![]() 07/14/2018 at 18:01 |
|
I'll, uh... Take that too.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 18:02 |
|
That would be a surprisingly practical/reasonable garage
![]() 07/14/2018 at 18:04 |
|
The 4x4^2? Or am I missing something?
It was a really good turnout. Glad I woke up!
![]() 07/14/2018 at 18:21 |
|
My C63 and the Pinzgauer. Or maybe combine the two into one sort of and just get the brown E63 wagon I can see beyond the yellow M3’s hood.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 19:07 |
|
1.) Tape for the turbo.
2.) I don’t know why anyone would have gold heat tape sitting around though
![]() 07/14/2018 at 19:08 |
|
a sports car is an illogical choice and the color should match.
![]() 07/14/2018 at 19:16 |
|
My Current car because it’s the best Dad Daily I’ve owned. If I wasn’t a Dad I’d say my 91 Civic but I’m a family man now.
And the one on the right
![]() 07/14/2018 at 23:42 |
|
Was fun until my brother trashed it. Shit happens.
![]() 07/15/2018 at 00:31 |
|
M y S10 and I'll take the yellow C5/6.
![]() 07/15/2018 at 01:21 |
|
You’re on the right path with your Miata. Take a dirt fish course. I am.
![]() 07/15/2018 at 11:41 |
|
I would have to go NSX and my Golf. At least one would be reliable....
![]() 07/15/2018 at 16:49 |
|
I know I should, but when I look at the price of a full day course... I could use that to buy a somewhat clean stock miata as a daily while I build the engine in the other one....

I worried about the same thing before I moved here, but honestly it hasn’t been an issue so far. My daily driver Cube is stock, and I stay up-to-date on the maintenance, so it’s never been an issue getting smog tested.
For the C5, there are plenty of CARB certified go-fast parts out there. Really, the only big problems come from electronic tuners and anything that tampers with the emissions equipment. I can run intake, exhaust, and even a supercharger with all legal equipment.
The biggest nuisance for me so far is just having to spend 30 minutes once per year getting my cars smogged (they come up on alternate years).
